Forbes selected Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alexander Marlow to their “30 Under 30” list of  “young game changers, movers, and makers” in the field of media. At the age of 28, Marlow may be the youngest top editor of a major media publication in the USA.

Marlow said in response to being named to the business magazine’s fourth annual list, “This is humbling and I’m grateful to Forbes for the honor. I’m part of a team at Breitbart News Network that could not work any harder.”

Hired by Andrew Breitbart in 2008, Marlow became Breitbart News’s first employee while an undergraduate at UC Berkeley. “Andrew recognized it early,” Breitbart News Network CEO and President Larry Solov said, “Alex is a special talent beyond his years with an old school work ethic. We’re proud to see him receive this well-deserved distinction.”

Aside from guiding Breitbart.com’s editorial operation, Marlow also co-hosts Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM Patriot channel with Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon. Marlow is also on the Board of Governors of the National Journalism Center.

Among others recognized in the media field are Amy Odell, Editor Cosmopolitan.com; Koda Wang, General Manager Huffington Post International; and Rachel Gogel, Creative Director of Advertising for the New York Times.

Other “30 Under 30” impact players in non-media related categories include James Harden of the Houston Rockets, National League MVP Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers, actresses Keira Knightly and Blake Lively, Caltech professor Konstantin Batygin, and virtual reality entrepreneur Palmer Luckey, who graced the cover.

Past honorees in the media category include: Mashable Founder Pete Cashmore, Beacon Reader Co-Founder Dan Fletcher (formerly Managing Editor of Facebook), Tumblr Founder David Karp, MSNBC Analyst and Vox.com Editor-in-Chief Ezra Klein (formerly with the Washington Post), Huffington Post White House Correspondent Sam Stein, Google EMEA Head of Brand and Reputation Marketing Ramya Raghavan (formerly News and Politics Manager for YouTube), Wieden+Kennedy London Creatives Freddie Powell and Hollie Walker, and CNN Host Brian Stelter.
