Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) said at the Democrat debate in Detroit on Wednesday that President Donald Trump does not care about children and that “kids belong in classrooms not cages.”
Bennet said Trump “doesn’t give a damn about your kids or mine.”
“Kids belong in classrooms not cages,” Bennet said, adding that the country does not need a bully in the White House.
But according to the Office of the Administration for Children and Families’ Office of Refugee Resettlement, the children in federal custody receive:

Classroom education
-
Health care
-
Socialization/recreation
-
Vocational training
-
Mental health services
-
Family reunification
-
Access to legal services; and
-
Case management.
Also, Fox News recently toured one of the detention centers on the U.S. border with Mexico:
The facility toured by Fox had round-the-clock access to health care, dental care, and mental health care. Detainees also reportedly have access to unlimited phone calls, legal counsel, a law library, religious services, outdoor recreation, and physical contact visits with loved ones.
The tour showed that common areas for detainees not only had phones but also directories with contact information for embassies, legal services, and even a grievance line for the DHS Office of Inspector General.
Bennet called a bumper sticker he saw that said “America; Love it or Leave it” a Trump bumper sticker.
