Reading the story of how Army Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha became the fourth living Medal of Honor recipient from the War on Terror is a bracing reminder that the spirit of valor which won our independence, and threw down the Axis, is still alive and well.  Romesha on the injuries he suffered that terrible day: “I’ve had buddies that have lost eyesight and lost limbs.  I would rather give them all the credit they deserve for sacrificing so much.  For me it was nothing, really.  I got a little peppered, that was it.”

Politicians are talking about downsizing the military, but the military remains great.  It’s the politicians who got small.
