ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. – Police in St. Tammany say an unregistered sex offender was arrested on Saturday night after he called 911 and told dispatchers he “needed a woman.”

Strangely enough, police did not bring Kareem Collins a woman. They did, however, run his criminal history and discovered that he was a non-compliant convicted sex offender who did not notify authorities when he moved from New Orleans to Slidell.

In a news release, authorities said, “Our would-be Romeo had failed to contact the proper authorities…- a big no-no for convicted sex offenders.”

Police arrested Collins on charges of failure to register for a change of address. They brought him to the parish jail where he was assured he wouldn’t be lonely much longer.
