It seems as if there could be a little internal Republican strife going on in Washington about who will lead the House Select Committee investigation on the consulate attack in Benghazi.

First of all, everyone should take issue with Boehner for dragging his feet the past two years.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) is said to be the Boehner’s pick to head the committee, and not Darrell Issa (R-CA), who has been front-and-center of the Benghazi debate since it started.

No need to fight here GOP’ers, both men are quite capable, and have proven that they are up to the task. The same cannot be said of Speaker Boehner, who will undoubtedly face stiff opposition in next year’s Speakers election.
