Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) appeared as a guest on New York AM 970’s “The Cats Roundtable,” and he warned that GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump could break apart the GOP.

“I think Trump is not electable,” Graham told host John Catsimatidis. “I have never been more worried about the Republican Party breaking apart than I am today.”

He then suggested the GOP elect “an alternative that’s common sense,” one who could defeat Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

“What we have to do as Republicans is offer an alternative that’s common sense, that people can understand, that’s hopeful and optimistic; not hateful. I pray the Republican Party can nominate somebody that can beat Hillary Clinton because if she wins you’re going to have a third term of Barack Obama,” Graham said.
