On Sunday’s New York City’s AM 970 radio broadcast of “The Cats Roundtable,” Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) discussed his executive order that allowed 200,000 ex-felons the right to vote in Virginia.

McAuliffe defended his executive order, explaining “it was morally the right thing to do” for people have paid “their debts to society.”

“It was morally the right thing to do.” McAuliffe said. “They’re back in the community. They’ve served their debts to society. Why do we want people to continue to be second-class citizens? So, morally it was the right thing to do.”
