WESTMINSTER, London — Over a dozen pro-European Union protesters gathered outside 10 Downing Street tonight to sing the praises of Lord Heseltine and the House of Lords following a week of Brexit-related tumult in Britain.

The left-wing campaigners were heard to be singing “Heseltine’s a hero!” in reference to the former Thatcher-era Defence Secretary, this week dismissed from his role in advising the British government due to his opposition to Brexit, as well as venerating the unelected House of Lords.

“2-0! To the House of Lords!” the small group meekly chanted, following yet another attempt by Britain’s unelected chamber to thwart the will of the British public as expressed at the referendum in 2016.

The group refers to its activities as a “Rolling EU Vigil” — a type of event usually reserved for a death or tragedy.

The small group, which also calls itself the “Richmond Terrace Vigil” refers to itself as “fleas” in the Prime Minister’s ears:

Nothing better to do

More barricades than protesters

Crochet is critical to the resistance

Knitting will bring down the government!

Is that a mop?

Woof

Their pro-EU paymasters have a big “celeb” rally this month

Big turnout

About as close as Corbyn will ever get to Downing Street
