Traditional media outlets aren’t eager to cover the crowdfunding success behind the Gosnell movie, a TV project which will expose the horrors committed by convicted killer and late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell.

It’s a key motivator for the filmmaking team. Tell a story both the mainstream media and Hollywood preferred not to share with the public.

Enter New Media–with a helping hand from some high-profile conservatives. The two forces have combined to help the Gosnell movie team to reach 60 percent of its $2.1 million crowdfunding goal. The project isn’t fully funded yet, but it’s already become the highest earning campaign in IndieGogo history.

A big part of the credit goes to actors like Nick Searcy (Justified) and Kevin Sorbo (God’s Not Dead). Both shot online videos supporting the IndieGogo campaign. Searcy recently appeared on Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor to discuss the project.

Gosnell filmmaker Ann McElhinney,a fiery public speaker, shared the movie details with The Rush Limbaugh Show’s audience earlier this week.
