Gangster rap artist Webbie spent Easter Sunday sitting in the pews of a Louisiana church, and decided to get baptized after he said he felt convicted by God.

Born Webster Gradney, Jr., the hip-hop figure has been active in the industry for more than a decade, and is best known for hits like “F—k Yall N—gas,” “what I Been Thru,” and “We In This Bi—h.”

TMZ reports Gradney was arrested in 2011 for possession of marijuana, and again in 2012 for battery after he allegedly kicked a woman down a flight of stairs, but regardless of his criminal past, the rapper found himself at church on Easter looking for a little redemption.

The Baptism ceremony was recorded, and Webbie can be seen looking both nervous and a excited just before he takes the plunge.
