Actor Miles Teller, who plays Mister Fantastic in the upcoming superhero film Fantastic Four wasn’t on a set playing a hero this past weekend, but you wouldn’t have guessed that by the way he reacted when he heard the calls of a distressed swimmer.
According to Page Six, Teller and his model girlfriend Keleigh Sperry were sharing a romantic day at the beach in Miami, FL when they heard a woman screaming for help.
TMZ is reporting without hesitation the Mister Fantastic actor sprang into action with his unlikely sidekick, and the duo worked together to help a very pregnant woman and her toddler son escape from a potentially deadly riptide.
However, on Monday, Sperry wrote about the incident on her Instagram page. Making no mention of rip tide, the beauty instead claimed a shark spooked the woman and her child.
“She came up to us freaking out telling us to not freak out but It was a shark,” Sperry wrote.

Teller is reportedly in Miami filming the upcoming comedy Arms and the Dudes with co-star Jonah Hill, which follows the true story of two men who were contracted by the Pentagon to arm America’s allies in Afghanistan.
Fantastic Four will make its U.S. debut August 7, 2015.
