Actor Martin Sheen trashed Donald Trump in an extensive Q&A with The Hollywood Reporter, calling the GOP presidential candidate an “empty-headed moron” who has “no chance” at winning the White House in November.

Asked for his thoughts about the 2016 presidential race, the West Wing star referred to the real estate magnate as “Don Trump.”

“He makes me laugh, in that nobody seems to get it yet,” Sheen told THR. “He’s an empty-headed moron. That he has absolutely nothing to offer us. That he’s done his bidding and he has to be responsible for the damage he’s already done.”

Pressed to describe the “damage” Trump has caused, Sheen said, “Oh, come on. There’s nothing private about this guy. Don Trump has been around for a very long time. He’s a very self-centered promoter. I think that says it.”

Sheen was also adamant that Trump has “no chance” of winning a general election matchup against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“He has no chance. None. I promise you. The fight hasn’t begun yet. I promise you. The tsunami that’s going to hit him has not reached the shore yet,” Sheen told THR, adding that the “tsunami” is comprised of “all of us who are capable and ready to fight.”

The 76-year-old actor has played a U.S. president at least three times: in the 1983 TV miniseries Kennedy, in the 1995 film The American President and on the hit TV series The West Wing, for which he was nominated for six Emmy Awards through the political drama’s seven-season run.

Sheen told the outlet he’ll be supporting Clinton in the 2016 race.

“She has some common sense. I’m not saying she’s mistake-free. Who is? I mean, she’s a human being,” he said of Clinton. “She’s been in public life for 30 years. She’s made a few mistakes. Is anybody talking about George Bush and the 30,000 emails he destroyed about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and all of that nonsense, and how Great Britain came in, and all the other allies knowing full well that it was bogus?”

“So, please, if you want to talk about how much her mistakes have cost us, none in human lives — and please don’t mention Benghazi,” he continued. “That’s a lot of crap. She was not controlling that situation. It was a military situation. And that’s run by the Pentagon or the CIA or both. She’s under orders.”

Sheen added that he doesn’t blame the terrorist attack on the diplomatic compound in Benghazi on a video: “No, I blame terrorism. Plain and simple. Terrorism.”

Sheen’s interview with THR was to promote his latest film, The Vessel, out in theaters on September 16. The film sees Sheen as a priest in a town where an elementary school has been completely destroyed by a tsunami.
