Comedian Louis C.K. revealed who he would be voting for in next week’s presidential election during a visit with Conan O’Brien Tuesday night, telling the late-night host he will pull the lever for Democrat Hillary Clinton because she is “talented and super-smart,” and would be tough as America’s “first mother.”

The 49-year-old Louie star conceded that as an entertainer, it probably wasn’t a good idea to publicly announce his support for Clinton for fear of dividing his audience, but the comedian nevertheless launched into a full-throated defense of the Democratic candidate for several minutes, to an enthusiastic response from the crowd at the Apollo Theater.

“I’d take her over anybody,” C.K. told O’Brien. “To me, it’s really exciting to have the first mother in the White House. It’s not about the first woman, it’s about the first mom. Because a mother just does it. She feeds you and teaches you, protects you. She takes care of sh*t.”

C.K. said he doesn’t have any problems with people voting for Trump “if that’s their ideology,” but said it would be painful to have four years of a president who can’t take criticism.

The comedian added that he doesn’t want a president who is “likable or cool” anymore, and just wants a “two-faced, conniving, crazy… somebody who’s just got a million schemes.”

“We need just a tough b*tch mother who nobody likes and who just does sh*t,” he added. “So this is my feeling overall: I think if you vote for Hillary, you’re a grown-up. If you vote for Trump, you’re a sucker. If you don’t vote for anybody, you’re an asshole.”

In a letter earlier this year, the comedian compared Trump to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and urged Americans not to vote for the candidate because, he said, he is “playing you.”

However, in an interview just a a few months after that, C.K.said he believes America will “figure it out” if Trump becomes president.
