Actor Rob Lowe showed his appreciation to California firefighters working to battle the dangerous Thomas Fire by hosting a cheeseburger dinner for them, after they saved his own home from the destructive flames.

The 53-year-old West Wing actor posted a photo to Instagram Sunday night that showed nearly a dozen firefighters crammed into the kitchen of his Montecito-area home, which they had helped save over the weekend.

“Dinner for new friends at our house,” Lowe captioned the shot.

From the looks of the photo, the dinner consisted of cheeseburgers, spaghetti, and some side dishes.

Lowe also apparently joined in the effort to battle the flames himself, posting another photo in which he donned a yellow fireman’s suit and grabbed a hose.

“You do what you can, but when it’s time.. you GO,” he wrote.

Lowe’s home was apparently saved, but numerous other stars’s houses were in the path of the still-burning Thomas Fire, including Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres’s homes. Chelsea Handler and Chrissy Teigen were forced to evacuate this week, with Handler appearing to blame Trump for the destructive fires.

The Thomas Fire has already burned more than 270,000 acres, enough to make it California’s third-largest wildfire in history, and state officials have warned that the blaze is likely to continue unabated into January.

Some evacuations had been lifted in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, but as of Monday morning, the fire was only 45 percent contained, according to Cal Fire.
