Police said the alleged offences took place in the Yorkshire market town between 2005 and 2012 against five women, who were aged between 12 and 18 years old at the time.

They are set to appear at Kirklees Magistrates Court on September 5 and 6 charged with offences including rape, sexual assault and trafficking with a view to sexual exploitation.

All of the accused are aged between 29 and 42. Twelve of those charged cannot be named for legal reasons, according to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
