The Jerusalem Post reports: The Palestinian Authority on Wednesday denied that it has postponed its effort to seek a UN Security Council resolution calling for an end to construction in the settlements.

The PA said that it was going ahead with its plan to obtain the resolution, but did not say when it would do so. The PA Foreign Ministry said that the Palestinians were containing their consultations with Arab and “friendly” countries, as well as regional parties, about the proposed resolution.

The ministry denied a report in an Israeli media outlet that claimed that the Palestinians have decided to suspend their bid at the Security Council.

The ministry said that although the Palestinians were taking into consideration the views of various countries that are supportive of the Palestinian cause, the PA is totally convinced that heading to the Security Council is an important step.
