Conservative radio talk show host and author Wayne Allyn Root appeared on “Fox & Friends” Monday on Fox News Channel to discuss recent protests at GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign rallies.

“Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy asked Root what he thought of the protestors at Trump rallies.

He responded, “I think people want someone who isn’t a punching bag. Donald Trump is saying for the first time in seven and a half years under Barack Obama, ‘We’re not going to take it anymore.’ The middle class, working class, conservatives, tea partiers, we’re going to hit back a little bit. We’re not a punching bag. I think that’s important.”

Root then added that the protestors are “leftist radicals” who are trying to “to slander Donald Trump and make him out to be a racist.”
