The holiday season is a season of charitable giving for many Americans, but those in Utah are more likely to give than other states, according to WalletHub’s ranking of the most charitable states.

In terms of donated food, West Virginia took the top spot but was ranked number 11 overall on the list.

Vermont, which had the highest number of charities per capita, ranked 24th on the list.

Here are the top 10, with a score out of 100:

The survey also found that politically red states tend to give more than politically blue states.

Even though some states give more than others, Americans tend to be generous as a nation.

According to the World Giving Index, Americans ranked second in the world for charitable giving out of 140 countries. First place on that list goes to Myanmar for the third year in a row.

Americans not only donated from their wallets but also gave their time.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 63 million people volunteered their time at least once between 2014 and 2015, serving a median number of 52 hours per year.
