Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) told Breitbart News that he is concerned about the entrenched Deep State in the Executive Branch subverting President Donald Trump’s agenda, and called for the president’s top aides to clean house.

“There’s so many people in the Executive Branch that support President Trump, but you have these secondary-level, entrenched people that are trying to put up every kind of speed bump to try to wait out President Trump’s term. That’s a real problem,” Biggs said.

“And that’s why I believe that our top-tier leaders need to clean out everybody underneath him,” the congressman, who sat for an interview with Breitbart News at Turning Point USA’s recent AmericaFest conference, added.

Biggs — who is running for governor of Arizona and was one of the last candidates endorsed by Charlie Kirk before the Turning Point USA’s founder’s assassination — also warned against conservative infighting while the Democrats are looking to win and never give up power again.

“Right after Charlie Kirk’s assassination, I felt that there was this brief moment of clarity where everyone in the conservative movement were united and focused on closing ranks against the left,” Breitbart News noted, before asking Biggs what he makes of conservatives having since become distracted with infighting.

“I agree with you that we don’t stay as unified as we need to stay. Part of that is because what makes you a conservative is, you’re an independent thinker with independent ideas, and you want to express them — and, so, we do that,” he replied.

“The Democrats, they close ranks immediately,” Biggs continued. “I mean, can you imagine if we had someone as radical as a Mamdani on the right that was running for office somewhere? We would be saying, ‘Oh, man, maybe he shouldn’t be running.’ Not the Democrats.”

“They’re all in there saying, ‘Well, we don’t care if he’s a Communist. We’re going to stay with him,'” the congressman pointed out of Democrats, adding, “I am concerned that sometimes our own fractious nature is a weak point.”
