“I realize that there will be some in the Fourth Estate, or whichever estate, who are far more interested in finding something to write about that is unrelated to the economy, to geopolitics, to the threat of war, to the reality of conflict in Afghanistan today, to a nuclearization of Iran. They’ll instead try and find anything else to divert from the fact that these last four years have been tough years for our country.”

After his overseas trip, Romney is well aware of what the corrupt media is up to — obsessing over real, perceived, and manufactured issues that allow Obama’s Media Palace Guards to keep the focus on Romney and off of Obama’s failed record and collapsing economy.

When last month’s abysmal jobs numbers were released, the corrupt media mentioned it and then went right back to talking about Bain and tax returns.

When this month’s abysmal GDP report came out, the media barely mentioned it before going back to day four of discussing the hysterical British media’s hysterical reaction to Romney answering a question about the Olympics honestly.

And today, as we learned that consumer spending — the very factor keeping our economy on life support — fell once again, the corrupt media kept trying to cover up their Ugly American disrespect for Poland’s war dead by focusing on their manufactured gaffe.

Romney knows this, but what’s he going to do about it?

Well, as soon as the GOP convention begins, he can finally unleash the Kraken — a gajillion dollars he’s raised but has not been legally allowed to spend until then.

Obama’s had his chance to close the deal for the last six weeks. Polls prove he’s failed.

Now it’s Romney’s turn.
