In the immediate aftermath of the not-guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman trial, two CNN legal analysts, who are presented to viewers as unbiased experts, made their biases very clear and public. Jeffrey Toobin took to Twitter, while Sonny Hostin expressed her shock and disappointment on the air.

A tweet from the verified account of CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin:

After George Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges Saturday night, Sonny Hostin came right out and said, “I am stunned. I think justice took the day off today. I think justice failed Trayvon Martin and the Martin family.”

The bias itself is bad enough, but that Hostin, a professional legal analyst, was stunned by a verdict most court-watchers expected, is what is truly stunning.
