On Monday’s edition of MSNBC’s Morning Joe,” Chuck Todd agreed that the opening of Robert Draper’s Sunday New York Times profile of Texas Democrat and gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis was “very puff,” but said it “also painted the picture of a candidate who’s not ready.”

Todd elaborated: “There were so many instances in this profile that I took away — that said ‘wow,’ she’s not ready, they’re not ready for the big spotlight. … They have not figured out how they are going to run for governor.”

Todd added that “her campaign is all about national groups using her to raise money for themselves and for her,” and said he felt she had been “rushed” before she was ready.
