Job Responsibilities:
  • Homepage editing: selecting stories, headlines, and layout
  • Monitoring and assigning stories across all content verticals that require both original reporting and aggregation
  • Tracking stories and narratives in order to present editorial overview directly to senior management and senior editorial
  • Editing posts for publication

Necessary skills:
  • Must be a “news junkie"
  • Impeccable news, headline, and photo judgment
  • Ability to use technology and relationships to gather news on a wide variety of topics
  • Mastery of grammar
  • Basic html
  • Years of media experience
  • Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure environment
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Excellent social skills

ENTERTAINMENT EDITOR

  • Monitoring and assigning stories across the vast spectrum of entertainment media
  • Original reporting
  • Quickly aggregating stories
  • Tracking stories and narratives in order to present editorial overview directly to senior management and senior editorial
  • Editing posts for publication

Necessary skills:
  • Must be immersed in pop culture and social media
  • Must have a historical knowledge of Hollywood

MEDIA CONTRIBUTING EDITOR

Job Responsibilities:
  • Story selection and headline writing for the Big Journalism vertical.
  • Monitoring and assigning stories across the vast spectrum of news media
  • Original reporting on the news industry
  • Quickly aggregating stories
  • Uncovering "buried leads” within stories from other outlets
  • Pursuing corrections for inaccurate information reported by other outlets
  • Tracking stories and narratives in order to present editorial overview directly to senior management and senior editorial
  • Editing posts for publication

Necessary skills:
  • Must know the key players in the media business: moguls, authors, editors, and pundits. Online, Television, Print and Radio

ADVERTISING SALES REPRESENTATIVES

As an Advertising Sales Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting for clients and selling online ads and sponsorships.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining assigned account bases while developing new accounts
  • Immersion in our products and services
  • Promoting outside-of-the-box solutions to prospective clients
  • Providing clients with estimates of the costs of products or services
  • Locating and contacting potential clients to offer advertising services
  • Processing all correspondence and paperwork related to accounts
  • Informing customers of available options for online advertisement
  • Preparing promotional plans, sales literature, media kits, and contracts
