About 15 years ago, the David Letterman everyone liked was replaced by the elitist, left-wing crank who currently hosts the “The Late Show.” After struggling for years in the ratings, it took a resignation announcement to finally give Letterman a win over his rivals, the Jimmys at NBC and ABC.
Even so, he still came in third in the all-important 18-49 demo.
