When Chickasaw High School’s Noah Morgan was born, he was not expected to make it through the night. The high school sophomore from Chickasaw, AL was born with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, which is a condition that causes joints to be stiff and crooked at birth.

Morgan does not allow his disability to keep him down and he does not want any special treatment because of his condition.

“I don’t get any special treatment from the rest of the team and I don’t want any special treatment; I’ve never wanted special treatment,” Morgan explained.

His head coach John Beverly seconded that statement and even said that Noah makes his team stronger.

“Noah is a kid, he doesn’t want to be treated any differently than any other kid on our football team; that’s what makes our kids love him so much. They expect the same from him as he expects from them. He’s going to be a teammate, a student; they’re not going to change anything for Noah just because of his disability,” said Beverly.

Despite serving as the backup kicker this year, Morgan has currently connected on two extra point tries on the season.
