During the Friday broadcast of “Outkick the Coverage” on Fox Sports Radio, host Clay Travis reacted to the  San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback situation with Blaine Gabbert, who has had a dismal season, and backup Colin Kaepernick, who Travis said has quit on football and now only dresses up to take a knee during the national anthem before games.

“If anybody should be protesting on the San Francisco 49ers right now, shouldn’t it be Chip Kelly for this team having such crappy quarterbacks? Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick minus 50 pounds, this is who he has to try and win games with in the NFL? Go back to college football. If anybody should be taking a knee right now protesting, it should be Chip Kelly protesting the 49ers having such crappy quarterbacks. And there’s another word I want to use there. And you probably know what it is,” Travis said.

He added Kelly should take a knee alongside Kaepernick next game and say he is protesting Kaepernick “sucking so much that he can’t even put him in to replace Blaine Gabbert.”
