Failed Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum took aim at President Donald Trump Monday on CNN for what the “New Day” chyron called a “backtrack on tougher gun restrictions” after the president blamed mental health for people carrying out mass shootings rather than making it a gun issue.
Gillum called Trump “weak” and “not a person of his word.”
“The truth is about this president, is that he’s actually not a person of his word. He says one thing one day and does another,” Gillum argued while pointing to Trump threatening Mexico and China with tariffs.
“He’s backed away. Donald Trump is weak. The emperor has no clothes on,” the former mayor of Tallahassee added.
