Michael Fassbender is the leader of an elite investigative unit risking their lives to solve a murder in the first trailer for Universal Pictures’ The Snowman.
Based on Norwegian author Jo Nesbo’s best-selling thriller, The Snowman follows Fassbender’s unraveling of a missing persons case that slowly heralds the return of the infamous “Snowman Killer.”
“He’s completely insane … And the only thing we know for sure is that he’s playing games with us,” a frightened Fassbender says in the clip. “He’s been watching us the whole time. If we don’t find him, he’s never going to stop.”
Directed by Swedish filmmaker Tomas Alfredson, the terrifying thriller also star Academy Award-winner J.K. Simmons, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Val Kilmer.
The Snowman slashes its way into theaters October 20, just in time for Halloween.
