The Times of Israel reports: France on Sunday called on Israel to show restraint on the Gaza border, after 15 Palestinians were reported killed during violent protests along the security fence.

“France reminds the Israeli authorities of their duty to protect civilians and urges them to show the greatest restraint,” a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said in a statement, according to Reuters. “France also highlights the Palestinians’ right to peacefully demonstrate,” she added. The IDF has identified 10 of the 15 people reported killed as members of Palestinian terrorist groups, and published a list of their names and positions in the organizations.

The United States on Saturday blocked a draft UN Security Council statement urging restraint and calling for an investigation of clashes on the Gaza-Israel border, diplomats said.
