Israel illuminated the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem with the colors of the Italian flag Sunday evening in a show of solidarity with the European nation, which just announced that another 370 had died in the last 24 hours from the coronavirus.

“Italy! Jerusalem is with you!” Jerusalem mayor Moshe Leon said in a statement.

Leon wished a speedy recovery to all Italians sick with the virus.

After China, Italy is the country that has been hit the hardest by the coronavirus outbreak, afflicting 24,747 and killing 1,809.
In Israel, more than 63,000 people have been ordered to self-quarantine, and international travel has been closed off for days. Gatherings larger than ten (the minimum number for a prayer quorum) have been prohibited.

Of the 7,740 coronavirus tests performed so far in Israel, 215 have been found to have COVID-19. Two are in serious condition, and four have so far recovered. Most have suffered light illness.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also tested and found to be clear of the virus on Sunday.

Update: The Tel Aviv municipality also lit up its administration building:
