'National Empty Chair Day' Clouds DNC Day One

'National Empty Chair Day' Clouds DNC Day One

As Day One of the DNC dawns in Charlotte, North Carolina, conservatives are making mischief, having declared Monday “National Empty Chair Day.”

The event is inspired by Clint Eastwood’s dialogue with an empty chair at the Republican National Convention Thursday; the iconic actor/director declared Barack Obama is not doing his job as president.

Conservatives over the weekend posted various images of empty chairs on social media networks, especially Twitter and Facebook.

Though the gavel to officially open the proceedings of the DNC won’t come down until Tuesday, the DNC website lists Monday as “Day One” of the convention.
