Breitbart News confirms that Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson will be joining other GOP notables, including Ted Cruz and Donald Trump, as key speakers at the 2016 South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention.

Carson will address the group at 11:20 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016.

Breitbart also recently reported the announcement of both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz as speakers.

“The convention, seen by analysts as ‘a seminal event’ in the run-up to the state’s ‘first in the South’ primary, runs daily from January 16th – 18th, from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum are also scheduled to speak. The South Carolina GOP primary is slated for Saturday, February 20.”

Cruz will address the convention on Saturday Jan 16 at 2:20pm.

“We are very excited to give Dr. Ben Carson the opportunity to describe his vision for America,” said Joe Dugan, founder and executive producer of the South Carolina Tea Party, adding, “He will be joining our growing list of Presidential candidates (Sen. Ted Cruz, Donald J. Trump, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Carly Fiorina, Sen. Rick Santorum) who will speak at our 5th Anniversary Convention.”

Breitbart News will be live-streaming the event. Tickets are still available via the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention website.

Dugan sees the event as the “Presidential Primary Edition,” describing it’s theme around who can be trusted to lead the nation.

Candidates “face a tough challenge as voters have become extremely skeptical of the broken promises of past campaigns. So our message to them is only to say what they mean and mean what they say,” added Dugan.

As recently reported, “Trump continues to lead GOP presidential polling nationally, Cruz recently surged to the lead in Iowa in a new poll from the Des Moines Register and Bloomberg News. The business mogul currently leads the Real Clear Politics polling average for South Carolina, 28.8% to 17.3% for Dr. Ben Carson and 14.5% for Sen. Cruz. And Trump also spoke at last year’s South Carolina Tea Party Convention.

Meanwhile, a new poll out today has Trump hitting 41 percent nationally for the first time.
