Ingraham Slams Ellmers for DACA Vote

On Thursday, talk radio host Laura Ingraham blasted Representative Renee Ellmers (R-NC) for voting against an amendment to strip funding from the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA].

Ingraham began by criticizing Ellmers for saying she wasn’t for amnesty but then voting against “[Rep.] Marsha Blackburn’s (R-TN) common sense and much needed amendment to strip away funding from the president’s amnesty, the first amnesty he passed, the Deferred Action [for] Childhood Arrivals.”

She continued, “suddenly she [Ellmers] throws in with 26 other Republicans to vote with the liberals against Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee’s amendment to defund Obama’s executive amnesty.”

Ingraham dubbed Ellmers and the other Republicans who voted against the Blackburn amendment “betrayers” who “decided when push came to shove, they would align themselves with the Chamber of Commerce, big business, and the donor class, and stick a knife in the back of the American worker.” And said that Ellmers “[did] the exact 180 that we knew she would do”

Ingraham then played audio of Ellmers on her show a few months prior where she criticized Ellmers for dubbing Ingraham’s position as “ignorant”
