Dershowitz: ‘Some of the Same People Who Are Complaining Today Were Pushing’ Starr Probe Ending in Lewinsky Scandal

On Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz stated that the Ken Starr Whitewater probe ended with a charge that was unrelated to the underlying allegations that were being investigated and “some of the same people who are  complaining today were pushing that kind of thing, including some of the senators and congressmen.”

Dershowitz said, “Let me remind you where this began. Let’s go back in time. The Clintons were being investigated for Whitewater. What did it end up with? It ended up with a perjury charge for not disclosing an alleged sexual relationship with a woman that had nothing to with the alleged underlying crime, and we allowed that to happen. And some of the same people who are complaining today were pushing that kind of thing, including some of the senators and congressmen.”
