MSNBC’s Wallace: ‘In His Heart’ Trump ‘Would Appear to Be a Racist’

Monday on MSNBC’s “Deadline,” host Nicolle Wallace said “in his heart” President Donald Trump “would appear to be a racist.”

During a panel discussion about Vice President Mike Pence using a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Wallace said, “We wanted to show all of those moments but we had a conversation as a TV staff that we played the racism tape too many times—that there’s always an addition to the reel. I mean, you just named a highlight reel of his most divisive comments.”

She continued, “Comments that prove that he is in his heart—he would appear to be a racist. He makes so many and he adds to it so often that we decided not to play it today. That might have been a mistake. Maybe it was the perfect day to remind everybody what he does.”
