Secret Service Director: 'Mistakes Were Made'

Secret Service Director Julia Pierson admitted that “mistakes were made” by agents for allowing a fence jumper to enter the White House before apprehending him.

Pierson said that the review would help the agency identify the facts, learn from the facts, and make changes to the agency’s response.

During the hearing, Pierson admitted the the security plan at the White House was “not properly executed” when Omar Gonzalez jumped the fence and made it into the building on September 19.
