Rodman Sings 'Happy Birthday' to North Korean Dictator

Dennis Rodman serenaded dictator Kim Jong-un with “Happy Birthday” Wednesday as his “dream team” of forty- and fifty-something basketball players competed against, and then with, North Korea’s national team. The American players clapped in unison as Rodman sang, with the NBA Hall of Famer bowing before the North Korean leader at the conclusion of his tribute.

The North Koreans led 47-39 at halftime before the teams intermixed their squads for the second half. True to life under the Communist regime, nobody won. Among the players Rodman brought to North Korea are Vin Baker, Kenny Anderson, and Sleepy Floyd. About 14,000 were on hand to witness the game, which Rodman labeled “historic.”

Thank “God”? Did he mean “Jong”?
