76ers Finally Win, But Do Philadelphians Win Promised Pizza Deal?

76ers Finally Win, But Do Philadelphians Win Promised Pizza Deal?

The Philadelphia 76ers finally won to improve to 1-17. But will the long-suffering pizza connoisseurs of the City of Brotherly Love finally get their discounted pies?

Papa John’s Philadelphia-area “76ers Win, You Win” promotion ran into a slight snag. The 76ers always lost, so nobody could eat a discounted pizza. The pizza chain seemingly rectified this problem by giving customers a deal when the 76ers scored 90 or more points.

“All season long the day after the Sixers score 90 or more points,” the altered promotion reads, “you get 50% OFF your regular menu price online order! The Sixers scored 90 in last night’s game against the Celtics, so you get 50% OFF your entire online order TODAY!”

But the woeful 76ers found a way to screw this up, too. The team beat the Minnesota Timberwolves last night 85-77. They won. They didn’t score 90 points.

Do Philadelphians still get 50% off?

The mystery perplexed a helpful man answering the phones at the South 40th Street Papa John’s location. He told Breitbart Sports, “That’s a very, very, very, very good question.” At another Papa John’s eatery in the city, a befuddled worker confessed: “I don’t have idea.”

Neither do we.
