Even NASCAR drivers aren’t immune from car thieves.
A bandit made off with Travis Kvapil’s Team Xtreme No. 44 car on Friday morning. The grand theft auto took place at a Drury Inn parking lot in Morrow, Georgia. Surveillance video shows that the heist of a Ford dually truck towing a white trailer containing the race car occurred at 5:34 a.m. (There’s no rest for the wicked). Team Xtreme reported the theft to the police sixteen minutes later.
Dang…. I’m wishing we had LoJack or something on it!

Drivers in the Atlanta metropolitan area should be on the lookout for a really fast car with a giant “44” painted on its roof, “Phoenix Warehouse” emblazoned on its hood, and nets conspicuously where windows should be rolled up in the sub-freezing temperatures expected tonight. One can never be certain. But this just may be the car police look for.
I bet when whoever has it, opens the trailer and is going to be like ‘oh snap’

The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 takes place, without Travis Kvapil, on Sunday at 1 p.m. local time.
