To defend a leftist politician who spoke in front of an upside-down American flag, Axios published a fake fact check claiming the video was “doctored” by AI and that, in reality, the flag was right side up.

Axios just retracted that fact check.

Naturally, Axios would like us to believe its fake fact check was an honest mistake, but Normal People know two things about dishonest, leftist outlets like Axios: 1) their “mistakes” only ever fall one way, and that’s to benefit the left, and 2) Axios was in a panic to defend a leftist, so they rushed to publish this — something Axios would never do for a Republican.

Oh, and 3) fact-checking is a hoax, a leftist psyop, a disgraced profession that has spewed more lies than Joe Isuzu.

Side note: Fai is currently a Washington County Commissioner. Officially, she holds a non-partisan office, but she is a leftist.

On October 10, Washington County, Oregon, Commissioner Nafisa Fai spoke at a Somali event in Minneapolis. A few days later, the End Wokeness X account published a portion of that speech that clearly showed her speaking with an upside-down American flag behind her.

“Oregon politician Nafisa Fai just held a rally in MN, speaking Somali, with an American flag UPSIDE DOWN,” wrote End Wokeness. “Enough with the pretending already. These are not Americans.”

So far, that X post has 2.9 million views.

Naturally, America’s utterly useless and totally corrupt political media manned their battle stations to defend Fai. Naturally, they disguised their defense as an objective, unbiased checking of the facts. No, we were basically told by Axios and local Oregon media: This is a lie! A right-wing smear! The flag was not upside-down! And what we have here is just one more example of white supremacist MAGA-Nazis using AI to question a person of color’s Americanism!

“A doctored video of Washington County chair candidate Nafisa Fai speaking in front of an upside-down flag went viral last week,” wrote Axios earlier this week, as though the doctoring was simply a fact.

Then Axios admitted to this…

“Fai’s team provided OJP [Oregon Journalism Project] screenshots showing the flag was right-side up.”

See how this works when you are a leftist? See how good Democrats got it? All this leftist had to do in order to get a fact check in her favor was say, Nyuh, uh. That’s it. And then after simply saying Nyuh, uh, the media eagerly took her word for it and manned their “fact check” battle stations.

Except.

The campaign lied. The campaign handed the media an altered photo.

And so, after retracting its own phony fact check, the Oregon Journalism Project (whatever the hell that is) also admitted they took the Fai campaign’s word for it:

On Oct. 16, OJP interviewed Fai, who is running for Washington County chair. A Fai campaign supporter then provided a different video of the event to OJP that showed the flag right side up.

OBVIOUSLY, neither Axios nor the OJP did any due diligence. Nope, no due diligence was done to investigate the allegation that the upside-down flag video was a fake or that the campaign’s photo was real.

Both outlets just ran out on the field to defend the Democrat without doing even a little bit of journalism.

The question now is what price will Axios and the OJP make the Fai campaign pay for not only lying to them, but hoaxing them into what ended up becoming a humiliating retraction?

I can tell you right now, she will pay no price.

Why?

Because — all together now… Democrats sure got it good.
