A national survey found Hispanics have a more favorable view of Sarah Palin than Marco Rubio. 

According to a recent Public Policy Polling (PPP) poll, 31% of Hispanics have a favorable view of Palin. Only 24% have a favorable view of Rubio. 

After the 2012 election, establishment Republicans and the mainstream media have tried to push the meme that Republicans needed to acquiesce to Democrats on issues of immigration and government spending to appeal to Hispanics, but PPP's national snapshot may offer proof that those assumptions are not correct.

Only 32% of Hispanics have a favorable view of Jeb Bush, another candidate the mainstream media claims will appeal to Hispanics because of his pro-comprehensive immigration reform position. On the other hand, 42% of Hispanics have a favorable impression of Paul Ryan, whom the mainstream media likes to stereotype as someone who wants to harshly cut government services.

A majority of Hispanics (52%) also viewed New Jersey Governor Chris Christie favorably. 

Thirty-three percent of Hispanics have a favorable view of Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, 41% have a favorable view of Condoleeza Rice, 28% view Rand Paul favorably, and 24% view Rick Santorum favorably. 

PPP surveyed 700 voters from November 30 to December 2.
