LOS ANGELES (AP) — A former companion of Sumner Redstone claims the signature of the media mogul on a recent document appears to be forged.
The ex-companion, Manuela Herzer, is a former girlfriend of Redstone and has been a caretaker in recent years.
She first sought to have Redstone’s mental state assessed last month and renewed that request in a new court filing Monday in Los Angeles.
The filing is accompanied by a declaration from a handwritten expert who asserts Redstone’s signature on a recent agreement allowing Herzer to remove items from his home was likely forged.
It also accuses Redstone’s lawyers of misrepresenting the condition of the 92-year-old in recent court filings.
Redstone’s lawyer Gabrielle Vidal accused Herzer of lying and states in a court filing that she witnessed Redstone recently signing documents.
Redstone controls CBS Corp. and Viacom Inc.
