Yemen bans entering West African goods for EVD

SANA’A, Oct.22 (Saba) — Ministry of Industry and Trade called customs authority to take necessary precautions to not allow the entry of goods coming from West African States to prevent the epidemic of Ebola virus disease (EVD) to enter the country.

Undersecretary of Industry Ministry for internal trade sector Abdullah Abdul-Wali Numan made clear that this action came as a result of the EVD widespread during this period, especially in the countries of West Africa.

According to the warnings and precautions of the specialized international organizations, Yemen and many other countries take these measures in order to cope with this epidemic, he added.
