Myanmar Frees Thousands of Prisoners, Activists

Myanmar’s junta on Friday freed two journalists who helped victims of Cyclone Nargis and released several opposition activists — including the well-known Nine Nine — as part of an amnesty for more than 7,000 prisoners, witnesses said.
