During an interview broadcast on Thursday’s “PBS NewsHour,” Vice President Joe Biden stated that Democrats should vote on whoever President-Elect Donald Trump nominates to the Supreme Court.
Biden argued that while no one has to vote for a nominee, the Constitution implies that the Senate will act on giving advice and consent and is obligated to give a Supreme Court nominee a hearing and a vote. He added, “I think the Democrats should not take up a — what I think is a fundamentally unconstitutional notion that the — that Republicans initiated 10 months ago. I think they should see who they nominate, and vote on them.”
