Cause of death unclear for son of ‘General Hospital’ vets Kristina and Jack Wagner

June 9 (UPI) — Harrison Wagner, the 27-year-old son of General Hospital icons Kristina and Jack Wagner, was found dead this week in a Los Angeles parking lot, but the cause remains under investigation, officials confirmed.

“Cause of death is deferred,” a representative for the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office said in a statement to People.com Wednesday.

“Deferred means that after an autopsy, a cause of death has not been determined and the medical examiner is requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies,” the statement added. “Once the tests/studies come back, the doctor evaluates the case again and makes the cause of death determination.”

UsMagazine.com said Harrison had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, and went missing for five days in 2016 causing Jack to make a public plea for his return.

In 2021, Harrison wrote an inspirational message about life’s challenges on Instagram.

“Life is a rollercoaster,” he said.

“It is all transformation and how we grow as humans to have the power and willingness to make a change…. And remember, no matter what the past says about u or what you did there’s ALWAYSSS room for forgiveness aslong as u are willing to forgive YOURSELF. It is NEVER TO LATE TO MAKE A CHANGE IN ONES LIFE Let alone, if u are struggling believe me… I’ve been there. But we come out on the other seeing the world through a different Lens.”

Kristina and Jack have played Felicia and Frisco on GH off and on since the 1980s. They were married from 1993 to 2006, and are also the parents of 31-year-old son Peter Wagner.

Peter shared childhood photos of him and his younger brother on Instagram Wednesday. The gallery was simply captioned, “Always with you.”

“On behalf of myself and the entire #GH family, our hearts go out to Kristina Wagner, Jack, and their family during this devastating time. We ask that you respect their privacy and keep them in your thoughts,” GH executive producer Frank Valenti tweeted.
