‘Evil Dead’ Season 3 trailer offers glimpse at Ash’s wedding, new monster

Jan. 19 (UPI) — Starz has released a 2-minute preview of what’s ahead for its horror-comedy Ash vs Evil Dead.

Season 3 of the show is set to premiere Feb. 25.

Thursday’s trailer features Bruce Campbell reprising his iconic role as Ash, the chainsaw-handed, demon-hunter who recently returned to his hometown in Michigan with his sidekicks Kelly and Pablo, played by Dana DeLorenzo and Ray Santiago.

The clip shows Ash enjoying his new job running a hardware store until he learns a monster has attacked the daughter he never knew he had.

The video also introduces his teen offspring Brandy, played by Arielle Carver-O’Neill, and includes a flashback of how her parents tied the knot during a drunken night at the Happy Jesus Wedding Chapel.

Lucy Lawless returns as on-off villain Ruby, who warns “a supernatural war is brewing,” while Kelly appears possessed by a malevolent force, Pablo embraces his destiny as a hero and a huge creature tears up the town.

Much of the action is set to the classic 1980s song “Take on Me.”
