Stockholm (AFP) – Prince Henrik, the French-born husband of Denmark’s Queen Margrethe II, has died, the palace announced Wednesday.
“His Royal Highness Prince Henrik died Tuesday, February 13 at 23:18 at Fredensborg Castle”, a royal residence about 40 kilometres (25 miles) north of Copenhagen, surrounded by his wife and their two sons, the palace statement said. He was 83.
