President Donald Trump will return to Florida for a campaign-style rally next Friday, just days before the Alabama special election.

The president will host his rally in Pensacola, Florida, according to the Washington Post, which is about 20 miles from Alabama. The rally is billed as a Trump event, however, he may address the upcoming special election on December 12.

Previously, White House aides said Trump would not be campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore, citing his busy schedule.

“The President is not planning any trip to Alabama at this time,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said on Monday. “Frankly, his schedule doesn’t permit him doing anything between now and Election Day.”

Trump has not rescinded his support for Moore but has not campaigned for him either. Instead, he has spoken against Moore’s Democratic opponent Doug Jones on multiple occasions.

“I’ve looked at his record. It’s terrible on crime. It’s terrible on the border.  It’s terrible on the military,” he said to reporters about Jones last week. “I can tell you for a fact, we do not need somebody that’s going to be bad on crime, bad on borders, bad with the military, bad for the Second Amendment.”
