On Tuesday’s broadcast of MS NOW’s “11th Hour,” Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA) said that the United States’ approach to the Russia-Ukraine war is moving “away from the historic role as leader of the free world,” and that cutting off funding for the Iran War will be the first foreign policy priority if Democrats control Congress.
Boyle stated, “The idea now, that, just in the last couple of weeks, we’re switching sides, and that we’re essentially going to be [on] the side of Russia, or that the president is going to be meeting with Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, two dictators and one wannabe dictator, that is truly disgraceful. And all Americans need to be outraged about this, because the ramifications for the United States deciding to take itself away from the historic role as leader of the free world, this will have ramifications far beyond Ukraine and far beyond the lifetime of this president.”
Boyle then said, “What Congress needs to do under, I hope, will be a Democratic House, as well as a Democratic Senate, cut off funding for the Iran War. I think in terms of foreign policy, that will be priority number one.”
